Chicken With Gnocchi


  • 500g chicken thighs
  • juice of one lemon
  • ⅓ cup dry white wine
  • (or sherry)
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • pepper to taste
  • parsley, chopped
  • 1 pack of wholemeal gnocchi
  • 2 tbsp crème fraiche
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup of boiled gnocchi water


Chop chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Add olive oil to the pan, add chicken, lemon juice, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme and fry on medium heat, till golden, then add wine and allow to evaporate. In a separate pot, cook gnocchi according to instructions (keep a cup of water after boiling, and set aside). Prior to serving, add gnocchi to chicken, with gnocchi water, dijon mustard and crème fraiche, heat through, and serve. Garnish with fresh parsley.
